Helping this Courier Franchise finance new Commercial Vehicles
CommercialVehicle Finance
In 2016 Shaun Swift spotted the opportunity for a courier and delivery business in his local area. Shaun researched the market and bought into the Courier Post franchise, providing the business with an established brand, marketing and operational support. The business was launched in late-2016 and began servicing the local market with a mixture of older owned and rental vehicles.
The Courier Post network is an established, experienced same day courier company, providing a comprehensive, dedicated service which meets customers’ needs effectively.
Having established contracts with international blue chip and local customers Shaun recognised the need to upgrade some of the aging vehicle fleet to ensure a reliable and effective service to clients. Shaun also recognised that he could reduce his monthly costs by replacing some of the rental vehicles with vans funded via asset finance. Having approached his cash flow finance provider, Shaun was put in contact with John Mellor of Working Capital Solutions who suggested Genesis Asset Finance as a potential funding partner.
We were asked to put a credit line in place for the business, to enable Shaun to quickly take advantage of appropriate vehicles as they came to market. We reviewed the business model and first few months trading performance and provided an initial credit line to enable the business to grow.
